Courtney Thorne-Smith (born on the 8th of November in 1967) is an American actor from America. Her most well-known roles include her roles as Alison Parker on Melrose Place, Georgia Thomas on Ally McBeal, Cheryl in According to Jim and her frequent role on Two and a Half Men as Lyndsey McElroy. Thorne Smith was born in Menlo Park in the south of San Francisco. Walter Smith was her father. Lora Thorne was her mother and therapy therapist. Courtney was just seven years old when her parents divorced. Courtney lived with both parents at different times. Jennifer the older sister, is an advertising executive. She attended the Menlo-Atherton High school located in Atherton, California, and graduated from Tamalpais High School, in Mill Valley, California, in the year 1985. She also performed for the Ensemble Theater Company in Mill Valley while in high school. Thorne Smith's first appearance in a movie was in the 1986 movie drama Lucas. She was accompanied by Winona Ryder (Corey Haim) as well as Charlie Sheen. In the mid-80s, she was also featured in a variety of films that included Welcome to 18 (1986), Revenge of the Nerds II (Nerds in Paradise) (1987), Summer School (1987) and Side Out(90). In 1998, she appeared as the star of the box-office chairman of the board, a failure, along with Carrot Top. In 2009 she appeared in Sorority Wars. Thorne Smith was a fan of Andrew Shue from Melrose Place in the 1990s. In June 2000, she tied the knot with Andrew Conrad, a geneticist. The couple split in January 2001. Roger Fishman, the president of Zizo Group marketing and author of What I Know, was her husband. On January 11, 2008, she turned 40, she gave birth to her son, Jacob Emerson Fishman.
