Abigail Marie Clancy (born 10 January, 1986) is an English catwalk model and lingerie model, and television model and TV. In 2006 she finished second in the finisher in Britain's Next Top Model (cycle 2) and in 2013, she was the winner of the series 11 of Strictly Come Dancing. The presenter of Britain's Next Top Model presenter since 2015. Clancy was the second-oldest of four children born to Karen (nee Sullivan), and Geoffrey Thomas Clancy. Clancy was born in Woolton which is a region of Liverpool. She attended St Mary's Primary School, as well as St Julie's Catholic High school. Clancy was the founder of the girl group Genie Queen, who were managed by Andy McCluskey from Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark (OMD). Clancy was among thirteen finalist for the Living TV's Britain's Next Top Model's second cycle in the year 2006. The contest lasted for 10 weeks to win an opportunity to model. Clancy together alongside fellow contestant Lianna Foller was selected to appear on the finale runway show. Clancy eventually became the second place winner. Clancy has been a model for a variety of newspapers and magazines since his appearance on Britain's Next Top Model. Clancy, who modeled the Triumph Bonneville Motorbike for Arena magazine's May 2007 cover was photographed by Clancy. Clancy was chosen to appear in Sports Illustrated magazine in the 2010 edition of the swimsuit. Clancy was featured due to her relationship to Peter Crouch. Clancy was photographed by the magazine wearing only body paint to appear as if she were wearing an England shirt. Yu Tsai took the photos. Clancy was wearing an England shirt as part of Umbro's campaign for sportswear in 2010 and was also photographed with other footballer's wives or girlfriends from the nations that won the World Cup. Clancy walked in the Giles Deacon Ready-To Wear line Giles Spring 2011 collection.In March 2011, Clancy was featured on the Elite Model Management: New York division website. She was a part of London designer Hasan Hejazi’s campaign for July 2013. The editorial was shot by Absynth Photographyic, and the fashion film was by Gabriel Gettman. Clancy was also model in the August issue of UK Esquire cover shot by Solve Sundsbo. Clancy was among the featured models in LOVE magazine's Advent Calendar, alongside SukiWaterhouse and Cara Delevingne. Clancy made her debut on the cover of British Marie Claire's July 2014 issue and British Elle's March 2015. Abbey Clancy, along with her daughter Sophia Crouch, collaborated in October of 2019 with Lipsy, a London-based fashion brand, to introduce their AW'19 line. The collection for AW19 was unveiled by Lipsy in Abu Dhabi in January 2020.
